Monday 15th June  

Life skills – cut up the cards and sequence the cards to show how you do the washing up.

 

Maths – superhero maths missing number activity to 20 worksheet (Monday maths).

 

Reading – read a favourite book or listen to an adult read a book to you.

 

Cooking – make chocolate brownies using the recipe provided.

 

Tuesday 16th June

Maths – doubles to 20 worksheets (Tuesday maths).

 

English – look at the front cover of the book Who wants pizza? Discuss what you think this book is going to be about and why. Design a pizza using the worksheet (English lesson 1 worksheet).

 

Reading – read a favourite book or listen to an adult read a book to you.

 

Wednesday 17th June

Maths – page one of Ronald the Rhino maths adding to 20 worksheet (Wednesday and Thursday maths).

 

English – look at the front cover of the book Who Wants Pizza again and identify all the ingredients that are on the pizza (English lesson 1 book cover).  Make a pizza using different toppings. Eat your pizza and say what it tastes like.

 

Reading – read a favourite book or listen to an adult read a book to you.

 

Science – identify the 5 senses. Point to ears, eyes, nose, mouth and hands for each sense. Then go on a sense hunt round your house and garden to see what you can see and hear.

 

Thursday 18th June

Maths – page two of Ronald the Rhino maths adding to 20 worksheet (Wednesday and Thursday maths).

 

English –  write a list of ingredients that you used to make your pizza.

 

Reading – read a book to an adult to listen to an adult read a book to you

 

Friday 19th June

English – write a set of instructions to make your pizza.

 

Geography – look at the weather outside. Describe what the weather is like. Watch a weather forecast on TV. What is the weather like in your region? Do the weather matching words and pictures sheet (geography worksheet).

 

Art – this term’s theme is all about fruit and vegetables and sculptures.

  1. Look at worksheet 1 and decide where the fruit and vegetables grow.
  2. Look at worksheet 2 and decide whether the fruit and vegetables grow above or under the ground.
  3. Get some different fruits and taste them. Describe the taste – sweet, sour, sharp, bitter etc.
  4. Choose one fruit and make a sculpture using the one type of fruit e.g. apples.
