The Three Little Pigs

 

Monday

 

LI: To describe main characters from the story The Three Little Pigs.

 

Read or watch (The Three Little Pigs Animation Story (twinkl.co.uk),

the story of the Three Little Pigs using the PowerPoint. Answer questions about the story and point out key objects from the story.

 

Feel the different materials (straw, twigs and bricks) and use the sheet and answer the questions about the straw, twigs and bricks.

 

Make the characters using the templates. Encourage your child to make at least two characters. Then think of words to describe each character in terms of what they are wearing and what they are like.

 

 

Tuesday

 

LI: To sequence the story of The Three Little Pigs.

 

Read/watch and discuss main events in the story of the Three Little Pigs.

 

Look at the story cards and sequence the story of the Three Little Pigs. Discuss why cards are placed where they are placed.

 

 

Wednesday

 

LI: To design a house for the Three little pigs.

 

Look at the houses from the Three Little Pigs story. Discuss their strength and design. Look at the house made out of bricks. How would you improve this house? What other materials could you use in your design? What would you do to discourage the wolf from climbing onto the roof? Etc

Task:

Use the worksheet to design  a house for the three little pigs.

Describe the main features of your house.

 

Thursday

LI: To describe pictures from the story The Three Little Pigs.

 

Read or watch (The Three Little Pigs Animation Story (twinkl.co.uk),

the story of the Three Little Pigs using the PowerPoint. Answer questions about the pictures from the story.

Task:

Use The Three Little Pigs Writing Activity worksheet to write a simple sentence/phrase about each part of the story. Use the boxes at the top to help you.
