Our topic this term is Beast Creator.
This term we will be reading extracts from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, watching the film version of the story and researching written information about the history and the context of the story. Through this text we will study an aspect or theme in British history that extends pupils’ chronological knowledge beyond 1066.
But first this week we are thinking about New Year’s Resolutions.
Make your own calendar – you will need 12 pieces of paper and a ruler. Make sure you get the months in the right order and spell them correctly. You could use your computer if you prefer. Can you add some interesting events to your calendar? Here are some fun suggestions:
Write a report to let me know how you celebrated Christmas.
What was good? What did you miss? How did you feel?
Remember to write in full sentences, check your work for errors and correct them.
Write your own New year’s resolution – how are you going to make things better for yourself this new year?
What I like about myself?
What is important to me?
What are my values?
Who do I want to be?
Writing thank you letters?
Now complete the New year’s resolution worksheet.
You can email your completed work to me via email@example.com so that I can mark your work and support you. I am very happy to answer any questions or just let me know how you are getting along.
Keep safe and well
Mrs Hargood 😊
