This Lesson Presentation is for Life Skills and Food Technology. Please work through each section as detailed below:

 

Starter

  1. Share the Lesson Presentation slide - Making a Healthy Sandwich (Slide 1-5). Discuss what is needed to make a healthy sandwich. Then Sort the sandwich choices into healthy and unhealthy. (See resources)

 

  1. Talk about the order a sandwich is made and what equipment is needed (Slide 6-8).

 

  1. Decide what healthy ingredients you are going to put in your sandwich. Try something different that you haven’t tried before. Follow the instructions (see resources) to make the sandwich (Slide 9-10)

Look through the example ‘adding endings to root words (-ing) on the sheet. Discuss how words change from singular to plural. Then complete the activity. Check that you have used a capital letter, full stop and your letters sit on the line.
