Ifield Woodland is a magical retreat where pupils from Ifield and other members of the local community can escape the urban environment into a relaxing and calming place. The woodland is used solely for the purposes of education, but in its broadest possible sense, from formal education through to group and personal social education and development. It will allow participants to review, reflect, relax and concentrate on their informal social development in a novel environment that will facilitate close working between families and professionals from a range of disciplines.
It can be found on ex-commercial coppiced woodland situated to the south of the village of Cobham, and to the east of Meopham, in the borough of Gravesham, in North West Kent. Ifield School owns the freehold to the site and has right of access to the existing paths.
