Part time Art Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher for Key Stage 3 & 4. Teaching experience in a Special School is advantageous but not essential. Applications will be considered from both newly qualified and experienced teachers.

The post offers exciting professional development opportunities for energetic candidates who use their own initiative but are also committed to working as part of a team.

Candidates could come from a variety of backgrounds but experience of a multidisciplinary approach to Special Educational Needs would be an advantage as would a good subject knowledge of ICT and a special interest in art.

Speech and Language Therapist

We wish to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist from September 2008.

Pay Band:  (Dependent of experience but likely to be equivalent to Band 6 of National Scales for Speech & Language Therapist)

37 Hours Per Week

Ifield School is a maintained special school providing specialist education for pupils with profound, severe and complex needs and communication and interaction difficulties. We currently employ two other Speech & Language Therapists.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Ifield School.  We have recently been designated as a Specialist School and Academies Trust School in communication and Interaction.

We wish to appoint a highly motivated, flexible and organised SLT with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work at Ifield School and with our partner schools in Gravesham.

The successful candidate will play an important role in continuing the School's excellent reputation in the field of special needs education.

Do you have:

• A qualification recognised by RCSLT/HPC
• Knowledge and experience of AAC, total communication &/or Dysphagia
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour?

Teaching Assistant - 16-19 Faculty

We wish to recruit a Teaching Assistant from September 2008.

Candidates could come from a variety of backgrounds but experience of a multi-disciplinary approach to high levels of special educational needs would be an advantage. Salary will be on the new Kent Scheme 3 pro-rata for a 30hr hour week during term time only.
